Well, I`ve owned my 1970 Westy for nearly 4 years now and been on here as long .
So i thought it was about time i got my arse in gear and actually did a gallery thread for my bus instead of just thinking about it
The van was advertised on here by a chap called Mark (username Vil) from Tamworth.
He had done a lot of the hard work and bought all new seals ,alloys etc.
It was exactly what i was looking for. So i drove from Eastbourne to Tamworth and did the deal :D
How it looked when i bought it,

Now you may be wondering how it came to be named the Igloo Bus. Well on my first ever camping trip in it the temperature dropped to a rather chilly -6c

Luckily the sun came out in the morning :D

Fastforward to last weekend, i took my son camping in a private wood near Hellingly.

Cool photos and you bus looks great, look forward to seeing it sometime. :D

Thanks guys.
I`d had the van about 2 months and was itching to go camping in it.
It was a mate`s birthday and being up for a challenge we booked into WoWo campsite.
The owner thought we were mad as it was December and the place was deserted.
It was that cold the curtains froze to the inside of the windows

I had monday off work and took my son on a little adventure.
We headed to Birling Gap first, near Beachy Head, for a little rock pooling and picnic :D

Hi Paul. standard beam up front with adjusters and Slamwerks adjustable springplates at rear.
She drives pretty well, but anti roll bar does scrape sometimes on bumpy roads ;)
She was lower at front, but hit the road all the time, so raised her a tad ;)
Thanks Paul.

Looking good 8) haven't got round to sticking mine on yet, what did you use superglue ??
:D
Hi Shaun, i used a little bit of clear silicone sealant and held in place with gaffer tape til dry ;)

I went to Magnificent Motors on Eastbourne seafront today.
There were a few bays , beetles and splitties, plus loads of other classic cars including a Mini Metro :?
The wife was rushing me along so no time to take photos
I parked next to this beautiful Merc

Thanks guys, i`ve had the roo bars for a year now after a mate kindly found them and brought them over from Australia, as hand luggage
I finally got round to fitting them just before Volksworld show and think they suit the van quite well.
Not sure whether to powder coat them or roll with them ratty?
I do have another spot light cover but its going on a spot light i hav`nt got round to fitting yet
I`m still up for Sussex based camping trip ;)
Cheers Paul.

I found a couple of pics from the Volksworld show.
It`s hard to believe it was just over a month ago, with snow and freezing conditions.
Then today i got sunburnt on a bike ride with my son
