Hi,

Anybody dealt with these guys, or better still bought a bus from them?

Reason being is that now that our old bus is sold (being collected next week!), we're once again travelling the long and winding (and often bumpy) road to our next bus :)

The good thing is that the missus has given the all-clear for a LHD, so that widens the catchment a little :)

This time we're after a runner - or something that requires very little initial repairs... Although if a special or rare model came up - and it needed work - it wouldn't be turned away if the price was right

So... any feedback on thecoolvw or other similar importers/sellers would be very useful.

Thank you,

Mike

Seem really nice people and very helpful with any questions, i nearly bought the frid they had for sale, but to much rot for me

Hi,I came and got the centre seat off you,had the red 70 deluxe,I got it from Tim,(Monkeyspinner I think)he posts on here a lot and often has good buses at fair prices he is based in Stamford and might be worth a call.
Best of luck this time!

Mine came from Tim at Roadhouse too. Always has great buses in stock that you can go and view and not have to rely on photos :)

Guys,

Thanks for the replies (I've emailed SK), and I appreciate everybody keeping this thread free from mud-slinging

Cheers,

Mike

Well I've bought my bus from Albert at thecoolvw, and you get what you pay for.
My bus need(ed)s a lot of work, but overall it's healthy.

You can get horror stories from everyone, fact is that most of the times it's all about (great) expectations and then reality hits.

Buses that are 40 years old or even older have had a number of owners and there's allways a few that don't know how to work on a car.

That's when you get bodge jobs. I know I've had my share.

My 2 cents

Nate

Hi - we bought our bus from Southwest Splitz (in Exeter) a couple of years ago - so pleased with him - they were great and get lots of imports in.

Good luck with your search :D 8)
