.....oh why do people not advertise the price when they advertise a bus for sale...... it drives me nuts!!

http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=518267

it's a lovely bus but if they can't be bothered to advertise the price, then why would people look at it? or is it just me....?

moan over...

Carole

I agree - why put your vehicle up for sale but keep the price a secret? It's enough to put me off TBH - what else is he hiding?... (just joking)

Nice bus though...

;)

its never really made any sence to me either..you just get a load of time wasters and dreamers emailing you!..maybe it was bought off the samba for something stupid like a 100 USD..advertizing the price would show the mark up price to everyone else who looked at the origional ad:wink:

Some people are embarrassed to put a price 'cos they know they are taking the piss.

I agree, a price will take a lot of people out of the equation. If it is silly cheap it will sell quick. No price tells me it's gonna be dear!

Just a shame the monthy offers sheet has the prices in small letters with "SAVE £XXX" so it seems cheap. Still trying to convince myself I needed to spend that much money on a ratchet screwdriver  It's worse on an account cause little and often feels much easier to hand over than a lump sum

it is a beauty. i avoid adds like that with owners looking to get prospective buyers into a bidding war if they know its a good enough van. greedy springs to mind. id be happer to know it was going to a good home where it would be well looked after.

CAN BE VIEWED AT SOUTHEND- ON- SEA ESSEX,CALL FOR DETAILS,COME AND SEE IT, NEED TO SELL FOR FAMILY CAR, RATHER NOT SELL BUT IT HAS TO GO, NOT MANY LOW OWNER/MILE BUSES AROUND ANY MORE!!!!

I see he has two other vans for sale ....

I dont like the 'need to sell to buy a family car' lines in ads, when hes obviously trading.

Theres no shame in flipping buses. :? Yet .... ;)

What gets me is when people state "12v electrics".

Weren't all bays 12v (prepares himself to be shot down in flames here) :?

It's not a scam, a friend of mine went to view this particular bus this weekend.

He wasn't overly impressed, yeah it's in great condition but the paintwork wasn't all that.

It was up for £12K, now he's asking £10K. My friend said he would pay that MINUS the cost for a decent respray...

I think what Pete said up there has hit the nail on the head, people that don't display a price in the advert are embarrassed because they're taking the piss and they know it.

possibly a trader who really thinks he isn't one

3 buses up for sale !!!!!!!!!

or just someone else jumping on the Bay bandwagen

just come clean , its much easier all round

I'll come clean
I'm a silly old fart who's been into VW's for rather a long time
and still looking for a few gems to tick off my "want to own one" list

He must have slept in it on the drive to find out its the warmest bus hes ever slept in, its not even UK registered. TRADER................nothing wrong with that but at least admit it. And why import from the US and then stick it back up on thesamba, thats just asking for some nasty e mails.
