Hi everyone,
I hope you guys can help me...would someone be good enough to post a few images of the tinware/engine bay and the heating pipes underneath, please o please! I have lots of bits missing and need some pointers as to what pipes I need to buy. I have the item labelled tinware (breastplate?) but the rest is missing apart from the heat exchangers.

Also, mine is a left hooker but the battery is located under the passenger seat (Haynes Manual states engine bay) is this correct?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Fella ...welcome to EB...The batery should be to the right of the engine bay as you look at the rear of your bus......as for tinware...i think you will be better off posting some pics of your bus and people will tell you what your missing... 8)

Thanks Smudge, I thought thats where the battery should be! I'll get her out of the garage and get some close ups taken (after I sort the earth fault on the starter out) :(

I'm assuming your meaning rear bench or you have a bench front, cos **** knows how you fit it under the front passenger.... which is the image I initially had, if it is pics please to satisfy curiosity.

Its a walkthrough on mine - as you sit in the passenger seat (r/h side) there is a cover on the left which looks like the previous owner bodged up. Remove this, disconnect the carpet insulation from the top of the terminals (the guy was an electrical genius who installed it) and pull the battery out! If you stand outside the van and look below the front of the seat, there is some form of stowage compartment - it down the back!!!
I'll take my camera over tomorrow night and get a couple of shots!

Here's the only image I have of the engine:

Looks a mess I know but we'll get there!

Thanks Johnny, tuesday is fantastic, thanks for offering, much appreciated!

no worries, the engine is complete and out sitting on the floor, its a bit grubby with paint dust but pictures should be ok.

If i'm not mistaken that would be a cross over 72' model, it looks like it has the engine bay that was designed for the type 4 engine. So I think its best that someone with a similar model takes over cause i'm not sure of the differences.
