now some of you might have read a thread of mine about whining, well i changed the gland nut and it still whines   last year had a new clytch release bearing put in but i guess perhaps the bearing has failed cos the engine still whines when warm and clutch pedal depressed even after backing off cable so not much pressure is applied if you see what i mean? ;)
now i have got another new release bearing of german quality from machine7.
so my question is .........
being a bearing what grease's or lubes the bearing???is it a sealed unit?does it need lubing?? if you do does it effect the clutch?
is that what is causing the whine?
last time i checked it fitting the gland nut the bearing was clean and dry, should it be lubed?

adjusting the clutch cable wont make any differance to load, just the hight of the bite point on the pedal ;) the release bearing is sealed and have fitted good quality one that was faulty  needs greasing on the tube where it slides and i also grease the fingers on release arm, dont forget to lube the bearing in the gland nut .

you mean the actuating arm? and the shaft which goes into engine/flywheel.
can i get away with copper grease on clutch aligment tool to grease the gland nut or should i of greased it before fitting???
thanks for the advice :D
