I am shortly going to take ownership of an early Bay. I want to run a towbar on it and have been offered one that is currently fitted to a Late Bay.
Is there a difference?
Recommendations on where to source a towbar for a 71?

LB won't fit EB I'm afraid. From trying to source one myself,Its my understanding that there are three types -70, 71-72,73-

When you say a '71 is this a crossover? I was recently looking for a towbar and earlys, corssovers and lates all have different fixings.

I ended up getting a JustKampers towbar. Fitted without a problem.

I'm ashamed to say I'm a newbie when it comes to EBs.
It's the T2D SuperDry Bay.
:?

You'll find the 72 is described as a crossover because of the large rear lights/late arches but early front end. But the 71 (mine too) is also a crossover because it has or had small five pattern discs and slot more besides from later cars. Up to 71 have very very nearly the same rear end. 72 large lights have a different rear end.

P.s you'll never get a tow bar under that bus!

yeah! think it was up to July 71,then changed. There has been 2 crossover ones for sale within the last week at least.hang on I'll see if I can find them....

Sorry, can't find them.one on ebay in Liverepool & one on VZi :(

I had one on my Not hback and that was pretty low. There's a guy in my local club who is a clever so and so, and works at a machine shop who recently made a removable tow bar for a mate with a slammed Fridolin, so I may call on him to make something up with a swan neck.
Want to be able to tow my trailer tent if we go anywhere as a family.

Hi there, 'Gadget boy' on this forum is making some(hopefully) as I write this. They are copies of the originals and get good feed back once made. Give him a go he may have some left in the latest batch he's making. Cheers Carl
