that is awesome. its on my bucket list. have to get the van going first lol

Outstanding piece of work 8) - also on my list of stuff to do - now I know a little bit more about how to go about it, cheers!

Can I ask some daft questions if you don't mind please?

How did you secure the wooden floor frame to the trailer frame?
What size were the wooden struts you used to construct the framework?
what size/type of ply did you use for the sides/tops?

Looks like you were spot on with your measurements....I assume you have some pretty accurate way of measuring and cutting the outer panels - if I tried they would be slightly wavy :D

Finally - did you cover it in aluminium or paint it (can't tell from the piccie) before applying the final coat?

Particularly like the matching checks ;)

That looks fantastic. How many children can live in it?

Just the job for stopping them messing up the inside of the bus...

Thank you all for the great comments :D

Ill try and answer some of the questions,

The frame was attached to the chassis by welding mounting brackets & braces on and bolting through the timber floor.
For frame work I used was 32mm x 32mm .
The shape of the sides were down to trial and error, bits of string and a pencil to get the correct arcs
Sides are 5 mm ply, roof 3 mm, everything was glued and screwed !
The sides and roof had a full skim of body filler, then sanded flat, I put a 2 pack primer on with small roller, and flatted off again, the top coat was sprayed on ( also 2 pack )

I wanted to build a camping trailer that looked like a 'teardrop', then decided to make it a little bigger, so my lad is who's about 5'8'' could sleep in it if needed, we did 'Camper jam 11' and he said it was far better than a tent

The Teardrop now has its own suncanopy aswell :D , will try find a pic !

Hope this helps
Cheers
Daren
