Anybody know where I can get button trim fixings for 4mm ply door and lining panels ...The JK ones are too short .... or a screw trim fixing?

Any suggestions/recommendations much appreciated.

Raggles, stick a photo on, if you can! of what you want and I'll take a look. or send me one by e-mail... take a look at the Hafele web-site they sell most things.

Attached is a pic of where I am trying to get to

along with the JK clips that are too short

I wondered if I could use a self tapping screw with a cup to tap into the existing hole for the push fit clips?

How much short are they ? could you not set the head in a little ? not got the bus here or I would take a look at the ones on the sliding door.... was up for some of those from JK but at £10:50 for 15 and too short I may go another route...

This is what I did on my sliding door....

Woolies for cup washers & SS Screws

From the above links , any idea what size screw and cup washer can be used to attach 4mm ply to use the existing holes? (I.e. the existing holes that the original interior panel clips inserted into)

Cheers.

I used 4mm ply and in the end went for M8 x 10mm flanged button screws into the original holes. I used an M8 tap which gave a minimal thread and they screw in just fine.

Might be something to consider if you draw a blank ... I liked the look of the screws.

see https://www.accu.co.uk/en/flanged-button-screws/8640-SSBF-M8-10-A2

A not so good image of the end result.

Cheers Raggles! That's exactly what I'm after!

Try these...

or

Hope that helps :)

No they are like a normal self tapper, so you'd need to drill pilot holes in a new position.
