Bought a new set of wide 5 cosmics for my 69 bay,also got 1958 split front drums.back wheels may go on if I grind the little nipple bit off rear drum,but fronts don't fit over the front drum.I measured the centre bore of new wheel and it measures 72mm and measured center part of drum at 75mm.was told by the supplier that someone they know has a split and they fitted straight on,also these wheels are advertised as universal fits all 5x205,s.so should fit my split front drums.Now been told that they only fit wide 5 beetle.How can they fit the other fellas split?and I'm sure I've seen wide 5 bays running cosmics.Can anyone she'd some light on this as feel I've been robbed off,and am completely gutted I can't have my wheels I wanted.
