turn my whitewall

for some reason or another when my bus was imported the whitewalls were all the wrong way round so they all need to be taken off the rims and turned around. Now don't get me wrong but I'm not looking forward to taking the van down to kwik fit or wherever to get them turned round. It just worries me that these guys don't know where to jack up the bus and how to deal with it gently...its not a job I can do myself so I have little choice.....anyone had similar experiences?

Don't go to Kwik Fit - find yourself a local smalltime tyre place where you can have a chat with the guy first and express your concerns... or take the wheels off yourself and take them in 'loose'

Agree with J&M, take them off yourself and take em down ( two at a time if you haven't got enough stands ) But before you do anything get underneath and check the tyre walls for damage, they may have been turned over for a reason.

If your bus is solid then use the jacking points - if you're unsure then a sturdy suspension component should be fine - beam at the front for example...

if its a an import from the USA, its common practice for the yanks to turn the whitewalls inside as they dont like the look, white walls on vans is more of a UK/European thing.
