Twin carb 40idf

I have a 1600 twin port engine, and was going to do a 40idf twin Webber conversion. Will this run ok or should I be thinking more about running a larger engine first! Thanks

40's will work fine. Up to you if you want to splash out on a bigger motor but it is not necessary if you just want to use the carbs. Make sure you get the right chokes though else they will have a flat spot. 28 ur 30mm should be about right.

You might find the IDF 40s make it over carb'd on a stock engine.

I had 40's on a 1641 with a 110cam it was good in my double cab.

Currently running 34ICT dual carbs on a stock motor in my bug, they work great and really made it come alive, plus much cheaper!
