Just in the 'running in' phase of the new engine so not such an issue at the moment, but the poor pick up and with the accelerator pedal almost needing to be grounded it shows something is not quite right with the set up.

Already have some different jets to swop over in the carbs (Weber 34's) as thinking that is a separate issue. I know there have been comments in the past about how crap the ancillary bits and bobs are in the 'complete carb kits' from Heritage and the like but would welcome input as to what suggestions people have for getting this right.

Does it have to be something from the likes of Gene Berg? or are there other linkages that you would recommend?

I'm running the Weber 34 ICT kit - the only problem I had was that the springs on the carbs weren't strong enough to return the carbs to idle - so just got some new stronger ones.

The linkage isn't great quality but I have to say to does work on mine - done over 5000 mile with no problems.

Check everything is fitted properly manifolds to head, carb to manifold, all sealed tight, mine had an air leek worth a look hope it helps Frankie.

Here’s mine CSP bell crank linkage on Weber 34ICTs,.Very very easy to set up, a couple of minutes at most.

Got a CB performance linkage with my Weber IDF's, works great and was brilliant when it came too adjusting the carb balance. Only down fall was i had to modify the fan housing to get clearance because i've got short intake manifolds.
