Can you guys give me some more information about that ? I found absolutely nothing. I heard it was US spec, someone else say me that it come from a devon..

Thank you for your help

Thibault

yes its a devon louvered window (not US specced) ive been looking for one for ages you lucky git 8)

i have a westy styled one like the post below with all the westy rubbers brand new, if you want to swap :p ill even throw in a free fly screen for it :)

Don't think its US spec, I've got a pair of louvers in our Campmobile and they have full width vents

Thank you but I already have 2 of these full-width at home :)

I got her sister too, which is a sliding one like this one :

Were the devons equipped with 1 louvered and 1 sliding ?

Vendor saw the following on the window : "Vehicle & Marine window Co, Birmingham"

All I could get hold of was divided when I went looking for louvers for my T25 (R.i.p.).So which ones are full width and how do I get them ?
If I may be so bold.... :)

Ok thank you, do you have the sliding window too ?
Does Vehicle & Marine window Co has made windows for Devon ? Just for my curiosity :)

Its my suspicion that the window youve bought may not fit a factory window aperture. I 'think' they are for converted panel vans, if so, I hope that what you wanted?

Nope I don't have a converted panel van (if I had one, I would fill the holes with sheet of metal :)).
Do you mean this bus is converted ? It doesn't seem to me..

If thats the van that it came from, then it'll be fine.

Ive seen those windows on later Devons, Vikings and Holdsworth vans that are panel converted vans.
I bought a window some years a go via the company in Brum, and that was for a panel conversion.

:)

You have two westy style louvered windows and a devon window? how many vans are you restoring? you can only fit two per van, one in the sliding door and one in the window opposite.

Devons were sometimes not fitted with louvered windows at all or sliding. Most came with 2 rear quarterlight windows and the rest solid

Johnny, I just have 1 van -that's enough- but I kept a pair of westy style when I sold my '71 westfalia.

I planned to put them on my present 69 DD before making the ebay bargain (it's a bargain if they fit a non converted bay window).

Couldn't resist to buy this devons window as I appreciate them much more than westies .

They make windows for converted vans ;) amongst other things. :)
I bought a slider off them for my old converted van some years back.

I feel the same

I have a restored westy, ive been polishing and replacing rubbers but the more i look at it the more i dont like it. i think the Devon window is more elegant.

Well if you find another on your travels, drop me an email
