Hi all,

I brought my bus over from the States and the Customs require it to be valuated so they can calculate the tax and duty I need to pay.
They need to receive a valuation before Feb 11, so it's quite urgent.

Customs says that an official from an autoclub would be sufficient.
Is there anybody near Sheffield that is an official with an autoclub or any such capacity?

Can anybody do a valuation for my bus please?

It's a 1970 panel restoration project.

Thank you.

Andy

What!
Did you get a bill of sale from the vendor? Is it a parts vehicle?
Usually get Kingstown to fill in the BTI form with a letter from me and send them a few photos and that's it.
Have they changed the procedure? I hope not cos I'm bringing on in end of Feb.
Clem may know of someone.

Hi Chris , I think you'll be fine.
I brought mine in as a moving home, but haven't brought it over within the allowed 12 months. I have owned the bus since 1998 so no bill of sale.
Had I known about the classic car tax I would have gone down that route, but I wasn't made aware of it.

Cheers

What's the official scrap value of one of these? I'm being serious, how can they expect you to give them an official valuation?

If your bus is driveable, Simon at Absolute VW may be able to help, he knows his stuff
