Valve clearance

Hi all.
I was going to check my valve clearance tomorrow.
I have a 71 US crossover with a 1700 type 4 engine.
Manual states .15mm gap for inlet..ok.
Also states .15mm exhaust on engines without sodium valves & .2mm for sodium valves.
Problem is..how do I tell?
Manual says sodium valves are from 73 (chassis number 213...onwards)...
My bus is a 71 but log book states chassis number 223..

If you unsure what engine you have or if it's not the original engine that came in the Bus, there will be no harm in the extra 0.05mm just to be safe. Go with 0.20mm.
