VW- Volkswagen T25 Automatic Camper Van - £2995.00
1986 ‘D’ registration, Water cooled, 1.9 petrol.
I bought this van in May 2010 and I used it as my daily vehicle, it gave me a big grin ear to ear every time I sat behind the wheel.
Engine was replaced in September 2010 with a new VEGE engine and has served me well. The engine was replaced at 76,000 miles; the van has now got 88,000 miles on the clock.
Unfortunately the Carb has now failed and I have had it rebuilt and refurbished but now it needs replacing.
I am gutted (the children are too!) that I have to sell the van but I just haven’t got the money to finish my project.
It’s a good solid van with lots of potential. It has a good solid engine and the automatic gearbox never failed me. There is a bench seat in the rear with 3 seats (lap belts). The cab has 2 seats with a walk through passage. It is pretty much empty in the rear, ready for a conversion to be planned. I always planned to have it as a day van for weekends and festivals. It has a sky light but this needs some attention and it could do with a new rubber Accelerator pedal.
It has been taxed as SORN since November 2012 and laid up off the road since. It will also need an MoT.
Viewing highly recommended as this is an old and specialised vehicle, any questions please ask and I will give you an honest answer. I would love to see this van go to someone who will bring her back to life.
I have a pair of 3 point seat belts for the rear bench seat which I intended to have fitted which came from another van which can give with the sale if I get a fair price.
