After some help...

Planning one of those lifelong commitment events and want to involve VW's as much as possible. Want to have food served from a VW van if possible? Have seen a few ice cream vans and the chilli van but most are quite far from the venue location in Lincolnshire.

Does anyone know of or run any VW catering vans in the Lincs/Notts area??

There's the 'green bay cafe' from Leeds that does a few local shows around here, but you don't see many,

Always think they're a good idea, as they always seem busy, draw people in looking at the bus then sell them something :D

Good luck

My wife has sold cakes from our van at a couple of triathlon events. Not really proper catering though......

Seen a couple of coffee vans, one with the side opening and one like this

http://www.campaccino.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

There a dude with a late bay that does really healthy curries somosas , Barghis naans etc , for Friday evening then something light for lunches and chilli and rice on sat night with proper coffee bean coffee he has a black board with the weekends menu on it which catches your eye next to the stodge burger vans

Really really nice stuff organic, free range ...... he does deva dubs most years and always runs out of stuff he does my local classic car show too which is a day show he does wraps and pasta ;)

Good luck good idea and stay away from burgers and bacon and you'll do great

I'm not sure curriy based food would be ideal either :)

Romantic evening burping and farting curry... But maybe thats because i am a southerner and we have different ideas :-D

Me fart never

The guy I was on about is more about healthy food rather than just curry to be honest, it's been a while since I seen him but I remembered his curry it was lovely and a change from the norm at a show ;)

there used to be a couple of bars on khoa san road in bangkok that operated from late bay vans, can't remember much about them though!!!

Having a VW catering bus has always appealed to me. 8)

I always remember an occasion in my late bay some years ago, when parked up on Southsea seafront admiring the view, an old lady walked up to me and asked me if she could buy a 99 flake. I pointed her in the direction of the nearby ice cream van!

Anyway, I hope your plan comes to fruition. Keep us posted. :)

i hope this isnt a 'bucket list'? :(

Its certainly one of those two, and for some reason as soon as you mention thats what you want it for it suddenly costs 4 times as much!

I'd like a cake please

certainly sir, £40, is it for a special occasion.

Yes I am having a sex change

Oh sir, err Miss, you should have said so in the first place. Thats £300 for a sex change cake.

But I just want a £40 cake

Dont worry, it is the the same cake, but as it's now a special, sex change, cake it is made in the same way but attacts a huge premium

:)

I've put my BBQ on the back of the pick up before....

Surly BBQutionist turning out burnt possibly poisonous food and making the same "I bet you love a big sausage" joke to any female asking for a hot dog would be ideal I think. :p
