VW Shop Tanfield Co Durham

Hi peeps, I am looking to buy my first van and came across The VW Shop at Tanfield Co Durham. Has anyone had any dealings with this place for either buying an import off them or restoration / repair work they do?

I've not dealt with them personally, think it's a guy called 'Banty', but I've heard good things about them from more than one source.
Not a great deal of help I know :roll: but I've not heard anything negative

Last year a guy selling an F reg deluxe had the van parked there. He seemed to have used them and trusted them. Again not much help! Good luck in your search, the right one will come along...

Wendy.... Who in NE do you use for your resto/mechanical works.....its a long time since I had my last air cooled vw ... 1985 in fact a 1303s beetle. In those days there was a good garage behind Newcastle central station, falcon auto parts next door and a guy next to them who did resto respray works......all long gone now tho

I bought my late bay off of Banty in 2007, he's canny fella n easy to deal with.

George @ Microblast is still in business @ Forth's yard in the toon.

There's loads of local stuff happening n loads of local clubs.

I organise a free swapmeet every 6 months at my Garage CRASH Magic in South Shields.
