Ooops, forgot to raise the adjusters before I took it off the jack! The beam was sitting on the floor here.

Looking good, and sitting about an inch lower after I raised it up again.
Just needs smaller tyres now, and the back needs the horseshoe plates.

The only problem I've encountered is that the lower balljoint rubs on the wheel rim slightly on a 14 inch wheel, so I just need to grind the tip of it off.

Road test tomorrow hopefully!

I also emailed Nate earlier and he assures me that all his spindles are properly heat treated after welding to ensure their strength.

Nice work fella 8)

gonna give mine a whirl next weekend! Is it as straight forward as it looks? Any tips, first time for me.

It's all pretty straightforward, just be careful with the camber nut thingy on the top balljoint, mine was way out as I kept spinning it by accident.
As I said you'll need to grind 2mm or so off the bottom of the lower balljoint so it doesn't rub on the wheel rim.
I removed all my inner wheel weights too to save hassle.
That's the only machine work it needed though, the rest was spanners and elbow grease.

I love the fact I can now put the bus on the deck!

Oh yeah, I did both sides, including fitting new bearings and brake shoes inside four hours, including lots of tea and cigarette breaks!

Wow, what a difference dropped spindles make!

Steering is so light now, the steering wheel is not off centre anymore when I'm going stright and the ride is so smooth!

Only problem I've had is rubbing tyres and beam and the aforementioned balljoint needing to be shaved down.

did it lower 2.5 inches with the spindles as described??

have you gone any lower with adjusters etc??

im planning on fitting my spindles, plus a set of csp beam adjusters for an extra bit of drop. Then horseshoes on the rear

its gonna have 15" gas burners, what size tyres do you think will fit up front???

I think the drop is more than 2.5 inches, but not certain, as I forgot to reset the adjusters so initially the arches were sitting on the tyres when I dropped it down.

If the tuck on the Burners is good you can probably get away with 165 tyres, but my 165s on 14s scrub on the outer lip of the arches a little.
It is bloody low now, the beam is bashing all over the place until it grinds itself away.

You will need low profile tyres, probably 165/55s or something.
