Has anyone or know if anyone has fitted the rear air ride frame sections that Wagonswest sell pictures below?

I noticed the from WW after I'd bought Matt Ball's huge 5mm notches. I liked the idea but to me the whole point of the notch was for greater clearance for the drive shafts this doesn't seem to give you that compared to a universal bag mount placed universal the torsion arm...

I agree, I don't think this kit will get you as low as Matt balls notch kit but I don't need to "lay frame" I just want to go as low as possible but have enough raise to clear speed bumps.

You mentioned a universal bag mount, is this something you have done yourself? If so can you let me know where you got them from and also where abouts you mounted them.

Many thanks.

I ended up going direct to ridetech and got these

http://www.ridetech.com/store/upper-airbar-bridge-mount.html (turned these upside down and used them as bottoms for the torsion/ swing arms, fit great and have plenty of contact surface for the bag)

All the mounting/ welding is done (by myself) but as you need to ideally have to remove the torsion bars for better articulation you'll need to fit rose joint spring plates. I've found some from CE for pre 69 buses so far https://creative-engineering.com/product/air-or-coil-over-spring-plates/

As for the bag mounts mine are on the upper inside front part of matts notches as far as i could get leaving enough roof for the 90dg hose fittings and the lower on the torsion arm.

I will warn you its a huge job, in hindsight for the £1500ish Matt charges to do the notches i wish id got him to do it. As i'd clearly forgotten how sh*te welding on your back is even with the gearbox and running gear removed...

Great advice mate many thanks.

Think it may be my next winter project I think?

Do you have any pics of yours fitted

Cheers.

Hopefully by next weekend I'll PM you some over ;) there is loads of info out there it's just mostly vague when it comes to bays. From what I got told today at CE the parts available are more suited to pre 69 buses I'm sure it'll work on later ones it's just trial and error :)
