I am after a set of distance piece / connecting links from a set of early 1970 rear brakes. Just to be clear (as my Haynes manual calls them by both names in the diagrams) I am after the bar that goes between the two rear brake shoes. The reason I want a set is that I had trouble getting the drum back on with new shoes so I ground a bit off this to get the drums back on. (Not a good idea!!) The drums went back on but I've now lost travel with the lever and the handbrake is not too good (I believe sh*t is the technical term). Does anyone have any lying arround the could sell me??
I don't want to get into welding a bit more onto them as I think I have made enough of a mess already without trying to bodge a repair when I don't know how long they should be etc
