Hi all ,please can someone advise me, friend has a cross over and for the second time found water in fuel tank, started running rough and struggled to start same as before so he drained tank to find water in it! Any ideas where this could be coming in from? Is this a common fault? Sounds like to much to be condensation. Cheers rob

Obviously check fuel filler cap & if possible, sender area on top of tank.

Has the bus been left for a while with the same fuel in it?
Ethanol in fuel has an affinity for soaking up water from the atmosphere. Our tanks are not sealed like modern systems, so that's how the damp air gets in.

I try & run my tank to almost empty each time & also try not to leave a lot in the tank if I'm leaving it laid up for a while.

Ethanol is not our friend in many ways.

Good luck.

Phil.
