Seen some differing opinions on this but need to do something for my Early Bay. Is Waxoyl the way to go or is there a better alternative? Any advise on where I could get something done in the New Forest area?

Thanks

Nick

For me there is not much difference between the two. If i remember Dinitrol is thinner out of the bottle (so to speak) and requires less or no thinning if you are spraying internal chassis parts etc. Waxoyl can require a lot of thinning prior to spraying. If that is what you are doing.

To be honest they both do a good enough job. As always preparation prior to application of either product is the key to successful under body sealing.

Thanks for the response and the information. Not something I want to do myself so will try and contact a specialist (unless someone knows somebody).

Just got a quote for Waxoyl for £440 including VAT. Includes the following:

The Waxoyl treatment is completed by a fully trained operative, your vehicle will be fully cleaned and prepared prior to its treatment which includes the removal of loose rust to ensure we apply treatment to a solid material. The Waxoyl is applied via compressor to ensure an even and thorough coating.

Takes a day so price doesn't sound too bad - plus there's a 5 year warranty...

I didn't fancy waxoyl as I believe it is tacky and assumed that all sorts of crap would be sticking to it. Dinitrol is top notch stuff, 445 and ML3125 for cavities.

That's a good point around the stickiness. I've asked the same place for a quote for Dinitrol - it does look preferrable.

Dinitrol is an extra £40 (£480) so think I will probably go with that.

Ile second dinitrol, far better

3rd Dinitrol

Waxoyl you have to sit in a bucket of boiling water unless its 25c or hotter outside

The brush on stuff will just crack over time and rust even worse underneath
