Welded spindles... Breaking?

Whist they cool they can also distort........Again not a good thing to be driving around on distorted spindles :!:

if welded correctly the weld can be as strong if not stronger than the cast metal, the spindles are welded in 'jigs' to ensure there absolutely no distortion AFAIK.
