Westy/Dormobile etc roofs in colour

Has there been any succesful attempts at having a 'pop top' done in a colour other than white???

Whilst sat with a beer in the sun in Ninove last weekend, the thought crossed my mind about a gloss black roof/pop top with detail roofrack and satin finish body work up to the gutters.... :? :mrgreen: i blame the beer!!!

I am sure I have seen a Dormobile resto on here with black roof and black bumpers and grey body, but I've forgotten who it is

I'm toying with the idea of lining my pop top...has anyone done that?

apparently in 1971 there was an option for a black roof, but not sure whether dormobile ever did a black roof.

my roof will be a different colour other than stock.

Im wondering a darker roof may draw the eye away from the pop-top, and give the bus a lower 'appearance'. Ive noticed with Bays that are painted with a lighter top colour from the waist line up, my eye is drawn to the top of the Bus. Im gonna paint my bumpers white too, for the same reason
