Westy louvered window corner seal stuff???

I've just got hold of 2 Westy louvered windows and I've given them a good scrub & polish with wire wool. They've come up lovely but some of the grey seal stuff that is on some of the joints/corners and screw heads has come off due to my polishing. Does anyone know what it is called and where I can get it from????

I dont think its factory stuff? the window I stripped and refurbished didnt have it on

Ive stripped a couple and it was present..... Doesn't help you though sorry
