Westy Pop Top Rubber Straps

I got my bus in from Cali last night. I knew the rubber straps were missing before I bought the bus so pre-ordered them with my RHD headlamp lens'. Today I went out to size up the rubber strap job and have stumbled straight away.

I have never been inside a westy and I'm totally new to the VW scene so would love some advice. How do I fit them to the roof?

Welcome to the forum. The straps screw into the wooden batten around the pop top. Its usually covered with some plastic strip that is stapled down to the wooden batten.





You're lucky to have the metal hooks, mine were missing so were the straps.
