Hi,

Currently using an old gunson compression checker and it doesnt hold the pressure it reached, so by the time I have turned the bus over a few times and ran to the rear it has lost pressure reached :/ So time for a new one! What do you guys use?

Take care,

J

A gunson  mine holds pressure till you press the button to release it.

I also have a quickie push in one but you need two people or a remote starter to use it, hence I nearly always use the screw in one.

Perhaps I just need a new Gunson :/ Thanks

Google using a leak down tester rather than a compression tester, this also tells you where the compression is being lost!

I got a leak down tester off eBay for not many pennies. Works a treat but remember to put your handbrake on and chock the wheels!
It allowed me to find a burnt valve and determine that I have no blow by on the rings.
