Ok here goes , my 71 van standard engine setup was running fine, I had a job on to remove the Manifold to open up the vacum offatake. I reassembled the engine and now it won't fire.

There is a spark if I connect a plug straight to the coil and turn it over but not when it goes through the dizzy , I have set the points gap to 0.016 tho replaced the cap, rotor and condenser, the condenser is connected to num 1 on the coil the other cables on the opposite side.

What am I missing ?

Well if your getting a spark off the coil (a good blue fat one) and it doesent come out of the dissy cap then it must be either jumping to earth through a dodgy rotor arm or its not getting through because its not jumping from the rotor to the electrode in the dissy cap or unable to reach from the electrode to the HT wire or connector surely?
