Anyone running stock 14" steelies on a lowered Bay? If so, what size tyres are you using?

yep....
185 60 on front
185 65 on rear

but thinking of changing em for 65`s up front and 75`s on the rear , oh what to do???

bloody choices eh.....

How low is it? Im running stock tyres on a 4"-ish drop at the mo. No problems.

It's a one spline drop at the back and the front is late split K&L with 31/2" dropped spindles.

165/60R14's up front, stock 185R14 at the rear. Planning on going to 175/65R14 up front though.

My current set-up:

(1 spline drop at the rear, adjusters up front.)

I've kinda bucked the trend I guess and gone 195/60/14 front and 185/?standard?/14 rear instead of skinny at front. Did this as knew it was ok as had them on before (see below). Saw a van in the summer whilst @ Poppit Sands in Cardigan (that anyone on here?) that had, I think, 185/60/14 front and 185/65/14 rear or something similar to those ratios. Had firestone firehawks on and looked very nice. Thinking of getting that next time although given the low mileage I do that could be some time!

Was a bugger getting the rears on as slightly lowered (no idea how much - not too much and the front is a cut and turned axle) and I couldn't get the shock bolt underdone even after a week of daily dose of wd40. Ended up deflating the tyre and getting a bottle jack between the spring plate (think that's what I mean) and the body. Bit of a scary moment really. Kerb side one went on much more easily. Think that was because of the camber of our road.

Here's a pic tho as van is totally empty, it's not the true stance.
