Hey folks. Just a matter of interest, what do your partners think of your bus and bus life etc ? Are they supportive towards them with all that comes with it, do the like them as much as you or are they unsupportive and only put up with it ?.šŸ¤™.

At Skeg Vegas 2023 with our boxer dog, we'd been chatting to a couple with a dog in their slammed '68 bus.
My wife suggested why not look at getting a bay bus ready to use with more room for our dog, instead of the years & money involved in restoring our beetle.

I didn't need asking that twice.
The bus is loved by us both. It transforms days out at the beach or countryside, with food, rest & cuppa available after your walk. Having takeaways somewhere nice on sunny evenings instead of at home is a favourite. Fridge stocked with nice cold drink. We just love popping out in it, any excuse if the weathers dry.

She's even treat me to a bugtech shifter for my birthday next week.

My wife loves ours. In fact, any mention of selling it gets immediately dismissed by her.

Only thing is, absolutely no f**ks given about the maintenance etc. Not interested and just takes it for granted itā€™ll be ready to go come summertime. As she says, ā€˜it canā€™t be that hard as we rarely have any trouble with itā€™ .

Cheers love :D

I reckon thatā€™s a running theme.
Probably fair given my tendency to underestimate how long any job will take, then I end up being lost in it all day.

Iā€™ve had mine fifteen plus years on the road. In all that time Mrs Ozziedog has stayed away on three separate occasions and enjoyed herself and the bus. She has absolutely zero interest in going to any VW weekends or going off for a week or so. If I provided a hair drier, a butler, a teasmaid, and room service, she just may consider it. She does secretly like going shopping and out for a burger etc or meeting her friends in it. She has only just in the recent years taken to waving back at the kids when weā€™ve attracted some attention, but sheā€™d rather sit in the back. Her sister on the other hand is absolutely gutted when sat in the front if no one waves to us. All my mates think itā€™s a bit weird and why donā€™t I just buy a nice one ???

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,Good lafff for me though :):)
