got some porsche brakes and a set of original 15" FUCH's to go on the bus

i need to know what size tyres is recommended to fit so i dont knock my speedo out

plus the best place to buy them too

many thanks in advance

What are stock tyres? 185/65 R14?

If so 195/55 R15 are roughly the same rolling radius.

Sorry, they were 185 R14 - closest is 195/65 R15 and will show 2-3% faster

Here you can compare several sizes at the same time!
http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp

But trimming your speedo isn't that hard.

also if you fit 195s u WONT fit them under ur rear arches either 185s MAX

Doesn't that depend on what offset the wheels are? Or is it tight under there?

My westy hasn't landed yet but I have 5.5 Fuchs and a pair of 205s from another car to go on....

well not sure what these fuch's im getting are yet

195 would be my max really

will see how they fot with the tyres they have on

 they are 225/60/15

You might want to check the 'Tire Sticky' on http://www.thesamba.com to avoid problems. 185R14 was, I believe, 185/80/14 so check with care. Also check the tyre weight rating. You should NOT be running car tyres on a vehicle that does not specify them. You may get away with it, but the downside is not pretty!
