What the hell is wrong with my cab door lock!!!???

See if you can spot anything wrong, I know I have a broken Spring but can't see where the other end goes. And when you lock it from the inside there is no way to open it from the outside again.

The part of the mech that goes up to lock from the inside won't move back down again unless I move it with my hand, so when it's inside the door you'll never be able to move back to enable it to open from the outside.

Am I missing another spring or something?

Drove me up the wall last night night and couldn't find any pics or diagrams that showed the same lock.????

It's the broken springs fault...... you can buy the spring on its own but it's an absolute g*t to fit. I failed and bought a lock.
