Whats the most desirable Early Bay conversion?
Please dont choose a van just because you own it. please say what one would be your dream van.

If I have missed any please let me know so I can edit and add.

I voted deluxe, Westfalia is the best for me for what I use it for, but Id love a microbus with factory steel sunroof 8)

I have what I think is the *best* conversion - but the one I desire the most is a panel pan 8) - I'm a regular visitor to the panel van porn thread, just a shame that I have to wait until the kids have grown up before I can justify one!

Do you prefer the Pop top Westfalia or the Tin Top Weekender Westfalia?

Pop top for me - just adds so much more room to the van - I can stand and cook/dress/be nosy e.t.c. - tin top looks better IMO but if it's camping practicality then pop top all the way, otherwise I'd be driving around in my '68 panel van :D

Our current van is a Devon Pop and like you say tin looks the business but the pop is so handy.

Not an option for me to vote but hopefully my Westy Tintop once fitted with the Dormobile roof I bought for it will be my dream van 8)

What about the Dormobile or the Danbury, just to name a couple?

I've got a Danbury and I love the high pop top but the interior is a bit odd. Consequently I've junked what was left of mine, half Danbury and half Devon and built my own.

Westfalia for me, I like the space of the lifting roof 's but Tintops are cooler. 8)
I do like the later continental Interior like what Justin (Creation Blue has), very practical.

I've a Dormobile converted to a tintop microbus.

Slowly trying to add many of the Deluxe model features :)

I don't go camping much, but I love the 7/8/9 seaters - not that you see many of them at all now.

2nd that, mine is a 7/8 seater depending on which middle seat i use. Can't beat it for practicality with a zed bed in the back and a cab bunk. Plus you can seat family and friends for days out.

Very difficult to decide!

I absolutely love my Danbury, it's the conversion I've always loved and grew up with, and I can never see me parting with it.
I do, however, lust after various other models too, and if money were no object, my collection would also include a deluxe, a panel van, a pick-up and a Dormobile. I've always had a thing for these models for as long as I can remember.

So getting back to the poll, and the choice available, I went for the deluxe! 8)

Westie pop-top for me - that's why we got one!

Although I do love a slammed high-top!

8)

Would love an original Devon so gets my vote , don't get me wrong, love a 7 seater but camping in a bit more "luxury" would be good
