Whats this bambus shelf out of????

Im wondering if anyone could shed any light on what vehicle this shelf fits, coz it certainly isnt a bay!

It's not a Bugs or a Ghia, deffo not a type3 or a Split, the cut out on the left indicates being for a steering colum or something.
You sure it's for a Vdub did Bambus make parcel shelfs for others. :shock:

I bought it at Spa last year thinking that I might be able to modify it. Wouldnt be a type 4 would it?
