What's this connection on the fuel gauge?

Pink and white wire, bottom right of the picture (picture taken from above) The wire splits in two and one spade is connected to anything?

I think its the fuel gauge illumination bulb power wire, it should go to the other dash illumination bulbs

That's one of the dash lights, the fuel gauge are the black and brown at the front of the picture is the fuel gauge
