Hi
We are traveling from the north east to vanfest and we have 2 weeks holiday after the show.
We would like to try and make our way to the south west coast then back up the west coast line then across country home.

We are travelling with a 3 year old daughter and a dog so looking for camp site etc that will accommodate. Also attractions etc...

Can anyone recommend any good sites or things to do...

cheers
jo

hi mate straight after last years vanfest i headed down to croyde weather was mint stayed a week ... can recomend that . good few campsites too , we took our 3 year old too .

we are doing the same :)..... on vanfest sunday we are off down to croyde/saunton, can't wait!

Although Croyde is limited for camping if you take the dog...... if we take ours we stay at http://www.lobbfields.com/. Its dog friendly and just on the Saunton side of Braunton. Hope that helps

ive bookmarked that one Ant, it looks very relaxed and a bonus that its dog friendly 8)

We went down to Cornwall from Vanfest last year via Longleat animal park. Headed down to the Lizard to Henry's campsite http://www.henryscampsite.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; , really nice place for a couple of days, then over to the other side to St Ives, Newquay, Padstow (http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=1128" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;). Had a slow cruise back to the North East after 2 weeks. A Great Holiday.

wouldn't worry about the Lions. It's the monkeys thats the bother. ( but i didn't go through in the van, a double decker bus was my way)

They really do take bits from every car passing.

Enjoy your hols wherever you go !

longleat sounds fun.I have seen it on TV ,,just hope the van does not brake down near the lions.

theres another place close to Longleat, just down the road that my missus reckons is much better for animals, but for the life of me i cant remember the name (old age :p ). She made a TV program about both parks and the other one had alot more lions and better set up.

http://www.safaripark.co.uk/parksinfo/index.asp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

theres a good resource for safari parks :D

it was Woburn Safari Park near milton keynes: http://www.woburnsafari.co.uk/how_to_find_us/index.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

its no where near Longleat, my bad :oops: i just remembered she was at both parks the same day :oops: they are both about 100 miles from vanfest malvern direction

its about the same distance from VF, but longleat looks a better bet, gets daily mail family attraction of 2008 :D
