So for a bit of weekday inspiration to get my ass out of Bath and down to the coast at the weekends which would you say are the best surfing dvd's, after real life stuff not fiction.

I remember watching something on 4 a few months back about some of the real big wave riders starting with the fella's that started it back in the '60's and taking it through to the present day which was good but I forget the title, I didn't see the end of it as I was too tired and drunk and ended up falling asleep on the sofa  Probably had good dreams though

Riding Giants is the best I have seen for some get up and go :D and then I would also watch Lords of DogTown I know its a skating movie but it has a bit of surfing and an EarlyBay :D

That was it, Riding Giants, I saw most of it keeping one eye open until I finally succumbed to the cider coma

if you want a good fact movie get "Laird" it will blow your mind!
if you want fiction get "Big Wednesday", Gary Busey, William Katt and Jean Michael Vincent (airwolf) bloody excellent bit of nostalga, AND they did all they own board riding  .

I have just added those to my love film list :D so when is the earlybay surf meet then :D
I can't really surf but keep meaning too, but not much swell up in northampton

Endless summer! definately. Why don`t all the earlybay surfers come down to perran at the end of the summer.A lot more chilled than newquay. There`s a couple of excellent campsites and for those that prefer to ruff it by the beach you`ll get away with cliff top parking at the end of the summer heres the view from the cliffs today...no swell but a beautiful day

Plenty of footage of Laird Hamilton being towed into some monsters in Endless Summer II. It was the first place I ever saw that whole tow-in thing. Came out in '94 I think.

Sounds good, Croyde/Woolacombe is generally our first stop as well.

Sounds like a cool idea.

We're heading down to Polzeath over the bank holiday and camping in the site beside the beach so if any of you see a navy blue bay in serious need of some fresh paint come and say hi and pull up for a beer :D
