Need an ice cooler for when we're away, been looking round found igloo boxes like this one, looKs good,

They claim, five days frozen in high ambient temps etc etc, looking at ice coolers rather than electric, gas etc due to not wanting to carry extra gas and not restricting us to only places with hook up :D
just wondered what experiences people have had, good/bad, problems, any alternatives etc

Cheers

Shaun

(sorry if I've put it in the wrong section)

I have the maxcold 165, its a beast and yep 5 days frozen.....

None of them seem cheap & remember unless you got a ice machine you gotta buy that as well but they are good,
my Uncle had one on his Boat in the U.S you could keep a Marlin in that igloo & all the beer.

Cheers guys :D glad they do stay frozen for 5 days, didn't want to get one and then find out their claims were just a gimmick, and they've defrosted by the time I get to the campsite

Next thing the mrs will wonder why we need such a big cooler.......... well no body want a warm beer

Cheers
Shaun

Hey fella we got an iceytech and as long as you cool all the stuff in it prior to filling with ice and you dont open it willynilly then yeah 5days is easily doable even in the summer, could be for sale but seeing as you are miles away the postage would be mega, just dont use it no more

Can I ask what's wrong with apple juice and airborne yeasts fermented for 4 weeks and stored in an 80 year old sherry cask compared to a mechanised product that is produced in 5 days and contains sulphates and god knows what else. No wonder you had a headache and can't remember falling off your chair.

I reckon you had a dodgy leg on that chair :!:
Is that what they tell you they do with that cider :? i thought it was a couple of rats and every employee has a piss each in the cask :? oh sorry don`t forget the apples :!: :!:

Try iceytek, expensive but bloody good

(and they are lovely colours!)

I have a green 55l and a red 40l

Strong as tanks and keep cool for 5 days (just top up with a bag of ice after that)

http://www.coolboxesuk.co.uk/

Iceytek for me too, 40l. Great piece of kit. As instructions, keep any voids (the top mainly), filled up with a towel or something, to fill the volume, works a treat.

Mine came today :D
