Unless your current exhaust is holed then I cant see why swapping it will fix your problems(have you blocked off the pre heat holes?), have you done a basic service - valve clearances, checked for leaks on the intake/exhaust, checked carb balance etc?

WHS^^^ if it aint running right then the added expense of a merged header is gonna really piss you off when it produces zilch....

a merged header will allow the effective scavenging of exhaust fumes from the heads and release a little more performance, thats it.

You've not said in what way its not running right so diagnosis isnt easy but as in all areas of life its usually the simple and overseen elements at fault, go back to basics and work through them.

To answer to your question you'll have to use a Bugpack street max header like I used on my old 1775 engine

or go with a A1 bay window sidewinder unit like on my new 2074 engine

no air leaks

compression equal 8 bar per cylinder

timing cock on

carbs balanced

valve clearences checked

set up checked on a snap on diagnostics machine

symptoms: pops & farts from cold, when warmed up rubbish at low revs, low speed driving not a pleasure
