Hi all,

Sadly its time for the bus to hibernate for winter, its going under a carport but for added protection i wanted to get a decent cover. Has anybody got any recommendations, the Stormforce 4 layer breatheable one on eBay looks good but im not sure:

Im after something waterproof that wont scratch the paint if it blows around in the wind, any tried and tested ones?

Thanks,
Si.

Hello,

I got a Maypole from Leisure Outlet http://www.leisureoutlet.com/Maypole/Maypole-4-Ply-Breathable-Volkswagen-T2-Campervan-Cover.html

They just reduced it since I bought mine, it's now £59 + £5 for shipping.

So far I've had my bus under it for two months and it's great!
4 ply makes the fabric tough, but the layers inside and out are soft, haven't noticed any scratching on my brand new paint.
Repels water well, a little comes through the zip.

The photos don't do it justice on the web. In fact it doesn't look to be the same one as the VW is a high roof and has wheel cover and bike rack in teh back, mine wouldn't cover all that!
It's a very good fit for a tintop, has adjusting straps at the back to snug it up when windy.

Highly recommended especially for the price, if this goes in a few years, I rather buy another like this, both for less than one Hamilton and it'll be brand new again...

Hamilton for me - mines on its 3rd or 4th winter now ( cant remember  )
Great bit of kit - whatever one you go for just make sure its a breathable one or it will sweat underneath, not good for old buses

I have a storm force and it's good but a bit tight with a poptop though.! :)

He's other threads

Everyone here seems to push the Hamilton cover. I've got one myself and I agree they are a great bit of kit. But you can't look past this cover above. The guys on ssvc rave about them. It's basically a Hamilton for a quarter of the price.
