I dont like em mate, heard and seen not good things with em. Your best bet is to either buy some tyres with them already on or give Ant our very own MR Whitewalls a message on here

Hi
I had the whitewall tyre flaps fitted to my Ford Classic for a few years. They were a complete knightmare. These are the problems I had with them:

1. They would go grubby very quickly and were almost impossible to clean up.
( I drove across a muddy show field with brand new ones fitted and they were brown
and stained by time I parked up!!)

2. The slightest scuff against a kerb would leave either a nasty scrape on them or
worse a chunk missing out of them.

3. They would eventually splay away from the tyre and look warped.

4. They would eventually rub so much on the tyre underneath that the actual tyre wall
is damaged. ( I had no markings left on my ones!).

I don't know if they have improved them since the late 1990's, but I am going to speak to our Mr Whitewalls for doing my van and Ford.

Hope this helps
Rob

What classic Ford have you got? Started to get a bit of a 'thing' for them too :msn4: :sign0006:

I have got a 1963 Ford Consul Classic 315. Two door deluxe in Goodwood Green.
There is a photo of it on the Motorbase website.http://www.motorbase.com/profiles/picture/index.ehtml?i=325655730;s=ford" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; classic;p=2
