Got the door on now need to fit the window.
I have a opening 1/4 light / 3/4 window to go into the sliding door.
Any tips on how to fit it. Which window first.

The 1/4light first, the 3/4 section second. Just make sure you get the 1/4light hooked over the window frame properly (that's what the small cutout section is there for) :)

I did the one on my bus on my own, and didn't find it any harder than the normal side windows?

Cheers, hav'nt fitted any windows before so its all new to me.

Im pleased that you did'nt take them out to show me, we did'nt want to brake anything did we.

Only window I've ever broken is the windscreen... and that broke on the morning of the first MOT - I'm glad my MOT man has a sense of humour ;)

I can't say I was tempted to nip out there and start pulling the windows out in the dark... :p

If you've not done it before, after you've hooked the 1/4 window in, get a piece of washing line or strong cord around the edge of the window rubber where the frame would be if the window were in the van. Then get the front of the 3/4 in place on the 1/4 window, and push from outside the window into the frame as far as it will go. Get a helper on the inside to then begin pulling on the end of the cord (which needs to be started in a place where the window frame is touching the rubber) to pull the end of the cord, which should then begin pulling the rubber over the metal lip.

Hope that helps ;)

Mr Tofufi did you put the seals on the window first then string in the window seals and put up to the van. If that makes sence.

You posted two replies while I was editing my post to add more detail, you'd better stop replying so quickly

Seals on windows first, then windows + seals into the car using the washing line/cord method I typed above 8)

The cord pulls the seal over the metal window lip... if you've never done it before, and have solid windows to practise on, it might be easier that way to get the hang of it. If the cord cuts the wire, you're pulling it at the wrong angle ;)
