I brought a new windscreen seal from jk which was just rubbish, now I need most of the window seals in our bus, and have been told to get them from status,
Also been told Scolfields seals are good, I see in the scholfields book that they sell a whole set 6 in total for £80, Status on the other hand are £139.34 for the set, has anyone had trouble fitting either of these? what do you all recommend, :D

The JK seal was cheap but didn't fit, don't want to throw anymore in the bin!

JK seals are really poor. However first hand experience fitting status seal and and fantastic quality and fit great. Highly recommended.

Hi what was wrong with the fit of the jk seal :?:
Just to let you know I fitted one to mine , I realy had to stretch the seal over the windscreen "Thought I was going to smash the window".Then when I had fitted it the bottom two corners where curled under and letting in water.

Two weeks later I removed the screen again to do some work.
But this time I fitted it back in top first and it looks spot on with no leaks :D

Glad yours fitted in the end, ground hugger :D ,
The seal we fitted was so tight I had a plank of wood up against the garage wall and the window rubber, then drove the van very carfully forward pushing it in, I was waiting for a smash, its bearly in on one side and the bottom corners don't fit, also when it rains it leaves a black rubber residue over the paintwork, this took the best part of a day to put in, i should of just paid out more for the status one in the begining instead of trying to save some money :D

My manager at work was a screen fitter for 30+ years (lucky me  ) and has used JK and Status rubbers on my Early and late Bays(sold the late). Had the same problems with the JK ones. He said the status one was of the same quality rubber as the og ones were. Sniffed it and everything, wierdo  .
Wont use anything else but Status now.

Yes the Status rubber is nice and supple, smells nice too  the JK one is like some hard rubber cheap thing.
I dont know how JK gets away selling such rubbish seals, both glass and door seals.

I've fitted a scoffield sliding door seal that was good. I learn't that is much better to spend more money to get good parts. Brought cheap seals for front and rear lights, only been on 2 months and have already cracked.

The JK ones are absolute crap.

We always fitted the scofields seals, most of which came in plastic bags with the VW and Audi logos on ;)
