Will be doing exactly the same. Be interested to see some replies..

So far the information I have collected / researched:

Wiring data

Someone on here (cant remember who) said these guys are good to buy all the components from..

I dont know the lengths etc - but Im also going to be using the Bentley manual. My plan is to basically lay out the old one then copy it............... Like I said - its a 'plan' haha.

There good but dont stock all the colours most not all, so if your to stick with it then you'll find someone else and i know another company but its one of my faves on my home pc......will look later....

http://www.autoelectricsupplies.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; used these for the ducati and just recently on a load of crimps

You should hopefully get all the colours you need.....

Get an estimate for a new one from Peter Good. Almost certainly cheaper than making one and great quality. http://www.volksgoods.co.uk/

Wiring Looms - complete RHD & LHD from £194

Thats actually not too bad by the time you have all your connectors / missed bits out / soldering / working out what goes where etc - it probably adds up to more making your own as you say..

oopps :) yeah i payed around £35 and got enough to do the main loom and the front loom + headlights etc, with some spare, i did get a few coloured bulb holders too

The thing is its like everything your paying for someone elses expertise and if it goes tits on your wiring your potentially looking at a fire worst case scenario, it also depends on what value you put on your time when something else couldbe done....

just TDR'd and meggar'd the majority of the wiring and most looks fine so replacing all the connectors as matter of course and just the wiring at fault and putting in the uk elements and accessories so its a cheap one for me though time consuming.

I made my own and it means all the leasure stuff and hi fi stuff goes in one nice loom. Make sure you put a few spares in too for future ad ons
