Wiring in cigarette lighter

and it has two connections on the body of it and two for the light. Do I need to connect them all?

Hi - I'd connect the light +ve into the sidelight switch so that it comes on only when you turn the headlamps on - the other +ve would need to go to a live that's on the accessory circuit or permanent live if you want it on all the time - -ve can both go to ground
