Having just bought a towbar mounted bike carrier, it comes with a tow board with a 7 pin (12N I think) socket. I have one of Gadgets new tow bars so need to buy the other end of the socket which I think I can buy from JK. I have a wiring diagram telling me which pin should be which circuit but how do you physically wire them up.

Do you just piggy pack the wires on to the rear of the relevant lamps/indicators? If so there will be a whole lot of new wires hagning about in the engine bay won't there? Is there an easier/tidier way of doing it? Would rather not have to go back to the fuse board although I appreciate al the wires will be there.

If you didn't get any connectors with the kit try your local motor factors. They will be the neatest solution.

Then get your multimeter out!

Or do what my mate once did....get so far then call out the AA and keep the guy supplied with tea and biscuits until he's fixed it!!! I kid you not!! :msn4:

Cheers boys. I must admit I have spoken to one of the sparkies who works with me and will be asking him give me a quick lesson on using a multimeter as I think it will always come in useful. I have fear when it comes to electrics and computers, I hate the thought of me having f*****d something up by just having a go although I do vaguely understand the principles.
