Say money not being a factor, what would you do to an Early bay?

A couple Ideas that may not be great but wishful thinking at its best...

First in no particular order, lambo doors, it would be the only rig to have doors that went beyond the front of its badge!

Second, and I know its been done, but an automated pop-top (for those pop top campers) hit a switch -pop goes the top. How cool would that be.

Power assisted steering, (I have massive arms because I drive my Veedub. haha, so true but having an electic power assited steeering feature would be neat.

of course I might be shot down for a couple of these ideas, but dont take it to seriousally...they are only ideas.

power sliding door hit a button..."whoose" -right open

powered rear hatch..."pop" and we're open for business!

Most of the above would be considered custom fab, but would be killer at a show just think-

This would be the envy of all the guys, think about this you pull up, pop your interior lights on, hit another button the top pops up, as the sliding door slides open, your musics going (of your likeing) and you hit one last button, and the Z-Bed (talking Westy)automatically pops up and folds out...it is the 'swagen :p

Another good idea I, over thought, as all of the above included, was taking out the westy interior, and replacing it(replicating it) in a newer lighter material, improving on the weight, equaling better gas milage.

Do you have any brilliant ideas, money not being a factor you would retro fit in a Bay?
Just a note, this is stuff I would concider doing, and NO I dont want to go out and buy a new rig to do it they simply dont have the chariter like these old rigs do. But I would love to hear your .02 on this topic thanks-

Best

i would like to fit remote central locking, but cant see that ever hapening lol

all of yoru ideas are cool, but its just a case of weight, you would have to get a nice engine to go with it, along witha nice alternator lol

i was thinking a nice pop up telly, i'm just not sure how it would work.

I'm getting a 97 AMP alternator porsche fan kit fitted to my new lump  so they are out there.

Ive seen pop up tvs built into boxes and the lift mech is an old electric window mech and motor - looks pretty straightforward?!?! :?

yeah i have seen it done, i was thinking of fitting it in the magazine rack behind the drivers sea, but then i would have to cut the westy seat, i'm not sure i can do that!!!

thats probably the only thing i would actually consider if i had the tools and knowledge to hide a mechanism.. My sliding door is my worst enemy!

Would have to fit a 911 turbo engine. I like what Nellybus is doing, but would keep a stockish look on the outside.

I'm liking the electric pop top idea and central locking, I wish.

i was thinking of smoothing rear hatch and having it on a button to unlock it

i already have a couple of soleniods to this, maybe in time i will

I've installed the remote central locking on virtually every car I've owned, it's really a luxury.
And it allows you to clean the doors on the inside and make the blinkers flash, looks awesome on a 40-year old veedub.

is it easy enough to do on a Bay? i can imagine you would need to clean up the mechanisms to make sure they work smoothly, im guessing you can only do the front doors.

some bloke did a 993 turbo powered split called race taxi. google it if youve never seen it 500bhp and stops on a penny.

air ride, porsche turbo engine, porsche brakes, seious luxury leather retrim, twin electric sliding webasto roofs of glass sliding roofs, and a s##t load if ice would be well up on my list
