Hi all!

First post in a while, I’ve managed to finally find a wooden hinge cover for my 69 Westy bus.

I thought it would easily slot in but no such luck, I’m struggling to see how it fits, I believe they’re quite rare but I wonder if anyone has any photos of one fitted?

I may need to remove the rear headliner and possibly even trim some off it?

Thanks

Matt

Fair point Ozzy - kinda useless without pics!

Here’s the new piece, I’m concerned it’s not bent quite enough, and here is where it needs to go (somehow!)

I'm not sure I’ve ever seen one other than in a B&W grainy photo in a campmobile manual.

Any help or photos would be gladly appreciated !

Here’s mine from 69, looks like the hinge cover is screwed at the rear end. The headlining butts up to the upright section of the cover which goes up into the roof void, hopefully the pictures explain! IMG_4229.jpeg

I made one years ago when I fitted a late Westy interior in my early, cant remember what I used to fix it but it was fairly straight forward when I finally got the shape right (trial & error)
