    Carrying a paddle board

I did carry an 11ft board too on those 'bars' but have no pics. Not sure whether it made a difference but it was always in a bag.

    Carrying a paddle board

Here is my more hacked setup as mentioned above. I chose this route because I wanted to be able to pop the top but I'd highly recommend the Thule bars if you don't need that - I had them on my previous tin top and they were rock solid.

    Carrying a paddle board

I never found any roof rack that would fit without making holes in the roof which I was reluctant to do so in the end I used 2 large ratchet straps which hooked on each side of the pop top and covered the middle bit with those surfboard bar protector tube things (my mind's gone blank on what...

    Which SATNAV

I just used TomTom Go on iOS in Tenerife and I like having my phone off on holidays but discovered you can use it in flight mode and still get GPS! I'm assuming you'll still have your phone in case of emergencies and this is a great way to do it without buying an extra device.

What security do people have for their early bay?

I've got an UBERSECURE pedal lock left from when I had my bus. If anyone wants it PM me and you can have it for a tenner (plus postage if you don't fancy picking it up.

lpg anyone running there van on it

I ran my bus on LPG and it was great. We barely used petrol. I'd happily do it again if I got another bus.

Making a few bob off the bus...

Both of the above messages are correct. We ran a wedding business with our bay but never did proms as you're not covered if something goes wrong. A lot of people do it cash in hand and say it's for a mate which is up to you whether you want to go down that route but it's important to know you're...

What would cause you to sell your van?

I've got to be honest though... a T25 was my first VW love and they still really float my boat! :msn4: (That Escort is lush too!) 8)

What would cause you to sell your van?

I sold mine because someone walked up with a huge wodge of money and I couldn't say no. The plan was to fund a move abroad so we said yes... it turns out that Australia isn't necessarily any better a place to be than the UK so we've decided to stay put. If I knew then what I know now would I...

Bus values 'through the roof'? really?

I've got to say, in my experience, they really are through the roof.

Goodbye, farewell, aufweederzen (or however you spell it!)

Hopefully - if the reality matches the dream! We're still doing the maths.

Goodbye, farewell, aufweederzen (or however you spell it!)

Thanks for the positive comments - the plan is now to look at a move to Oz. The wife has a job lined up so now we just need to look at whether it's a move that will make our lives better or whether that's just us dreaming! 8)
